µic is an open-source microstructural modelling engline developed by Shashank Bishnoi at the Laboratory of Construction Materials, EPFL, Switzerland. µic is a modelling engine that enables customised simulations of microstructural development. The model takes localied behaviours as input from the user in the form of parameters and plugin codes and integrates the global behaviour, with the calculation of all interactions as required by the application. While the engine has been developed for cement, the versatility of its design allow its application to virtually any reacting particulate system.
The development of µic is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
